Make a Happy Thanksgiving!

I am giving you all my thanks for being a person that has the well being of others in your heart! The holiday was begun by a famous Republican, Abraham Lincoln. Who would have known all the interesting things that would have come from being thankful for the world around and the harvest of the fall. If Thanksgiving is nothing more than a time you sit and eat something together, the time with others is something to be thankful for and make a place in your heart for someone without. I know, with economic times as they are, we may have less money, but we do not have less compassion. Do what you can and make a difference this season for those in need!

Thank you for mentioning the Mission in your blog. Much of the money we use to operate throughout the year comes to us as donations during the holiday season. This year we are finding donations are down and the need has increased dramatically.

If people are interested in donating this Christmas they can visit our website at http://www.phoenixrescuemission.org for more information on our Adopt a Family program, Christmas food drives and toy drives and can give gifts online with our Christmas Catalog.

    Happy Holidays!
