Ted Kennedy
Today as we pay our tributes to Ted Kennedy and his passing, I would like to recall the influence this man had on my life. He rose above political positions and fought for those who offered little or no support for his political career. He saw his brothers Jack and Bobby murdered and his older brother Joe die while serving his nation. Ted could have done it the easy way, but he refused as he fought for the little guy.
I heard his words about his brother Robert and 8 words he said stuck with me and remain a key to my doing the things I do. Those words: “He saw wrong and tried to right it”. The same time he called for people to work to make good things happen and spoke of love and understanding.
He will be missed.
August 16th Show
Guest: Patricia Likens of Salt River Project and Rebecca Schneider
S. R. P. is wanting to increase it’s electrical rates 8.8% and some say even more. Patricia will give the S.R.P. reasons and try to explain some of SRP’s plans.
Rebecca Schneider ran against Jeff Flake and likely will run against him next time. She attended the Jeff Flake Town Hall Meeting on Monday and she and I will discuss this meeting.
As always, we will take calls and talk to people from the Katrina Area who have updates or stories from that area.
August 9 Show
Shawn Sahms and I talked and straightened out the problem getting in contact that caused him not to be on last Sunday so he will be with us this Sunday. Also I will have a guest that is with Support our Veterans Organization that helps gets veterans into homes. We also are trying to get Salt River Project people to talk about their rate increase request although may be a later show. Lots of topics to cover but we will try to get all we can in. As always your calls are welcomed.
